About HCAOI

HCAOI was started by Dr. Mariam Savabi with a vision for what is possible in healthcare. Growing up with multiple targeted identities, being trained in anti-oppression, and being a medical doctor Dr. Savabi realized that we can interrupt the cycle of oppression collectively. Using her expertise in anti-oppression and medicine she combined this to create specific trainings and lectures to push medical professionals to better understand oppression as well as to learn how to interrupt oppression by become change agents and advocates.

HCAOI serves as a resource to facilitate trainings, lectures, and grand rounds to teach skills and understanding of anti-oppression.
